In Edmonton, the EPCOR bill can show your power, water, drainage and wastewater, and City of Edmonton waste services.

If you get power from Encor (EPCOR's other company), your bill looks a bit different. The steps are the same.

Look at the example

Drawing of an EPCOR utilities bill marked EXAMPLE. Numbered circles show the amount owing, the due date, the account number, the billing period and where late money shows.
EXAMPLE only. Made-up names and numbers. We drew this picture ourselves. It is not the company’s own design.
  1. Amount owing. The Here's what you owe box, and the total on the payment slip.
  2. Due date. On the payment slip. EPCOR says it is about 3 weeks after the bill date.
  3. Account number. Near the top, and on the payment slip.
  4. Billing period. On page 2, under Details of your new charges, look for Billing period and the dates. It is usually 26 to 35 days.
  5. Late money. If you did not pay last time, it shows on page 2 under Details of your previous payments, with any late charge.

What to do next

  1. Find the amount owing (1) and the due date (2).
  2. Pay by the due date. You can pay online by credit card (a small fee goes to the payment company), through your bank (in person, by phone or online banking), or mail a cheque to EPCOR, P.O. Box 500, Edmonton, AB T5J 3Y3. Send the payment slip if you pay by mail or at the bank.
  3. You can also set up automatic payments in EPCOR My Account. Keep paying by hand until your bill says paid by automatic withdrawal.
  4. Can't pay it all, or have a question? Call EPCOR at 310-4300 (toll-free 1-800-667-2345) before the due date. Ask about a payment arrangement.
  5. Waste pickup questions: call the City of Edmonton at 311. Free help with power bills: Utilities Consumer Advocate, 310-4822.

Important

What happens if you pay late

  • If you do not pay in full by 27 days after the statement date, EPCOR can add a one-time late charge of 2.5% of the unpaid amount (Rate of Last Resort). Encor also charges 2.5% on the unpaid part.
  • The unpaid amount and the late charge are added to your next bill.
  • If you still do not pay, EPCOR can start collection. Service can be disconnected, and there is a reconnection fee to turn it back on.
  • Got a disconnection notice? Call EPCOR today.
